First off...Ill be totally impartial and honest here. Jack rolls up...and I CANT beleive it....I was shocked. All early indicators were yet more excuses to come. So anyway....Greg D checks Jacks car fist....admiring the TTC thingy....or whatever. So then we take mine for a ride....Greg basically tells me....he has me BEAT on power but...Ill have the traction edge. I already new this for the most part. If you look at my mods....I SHOULD get beat down. More on my opninions of that later.....
So Jack and I go check out the course in his car....I too admire the TTC thingy whatever....and we talk about how stupid all this shit really is. We both did this for YOUR entertainment....and our too.
So we get back....and race one starts. I was SHOCKED at Jacks luanch....and GREAT peice of driving....and my clutch would NOT engage. You can see how slow I leave the line vs the 2nd standing start. Now at this point I had NO idea what to expect....would be pull on me once we get into 3rd....NO....he miss's second but we both get in it in 3rd. Not wanting to show my cards....I back off.... Victory-Steamyz Then the rolling start....this is where I was SURE I would loose.....BUT...again I was SHOCKED at how well the Z pulled. So....we are cruising in 1st to the line....and BAMMMOO....Jack nails the gas early....by around a second and takes the early lead. Now heres where I give the Z some respect. I was 1/2 a car back due to the start right....well....I PULL on him in second gear....grab 3rd....get another couple of inches back but have MUCH more top end power at the end of 3rd....this was going to be THE race....then I go to grab 4th....grind grind grind....no luck! Victory - JackB 3rd race.....Sponge quickly lines us up I have an AWESOME luanch...and so dies he....but my drivtrain mods and tires take him over....and I pull him power wise the WHOLE race....no contest..... Victory-SteamyZ 4th race....another rolling start Feeling comfident and knowing I have to react better at the start....we hit the gas at the exact same time. Now what you cant see in the video...is Im actually slowly...slowley out powering his car....up until he miss's 4th....BUT...I pulled him in 1st,2nd....he gained a bit back in 3rd...and I pulled away when I shifted to 4th (he was still in 3rd)....then he missed 4th. Victory - SteamyZ NOW.....I TOTALLY was in shock of how well my car preformed....it felt probably the fastest EVER. I was running 18-19 PSI to his 20 PSI....with my mods. Not bad at all. If we had 555's.....it would be all over! Not to mention his FMIC and downpipe (which I dont have either) SO....who won? I DID! I worked it baby...you new I wouldn't let ya down RIGHT! But I will say Jack earned my respect last night. Not merely for showing up...or for racing....but for keeping it real! We all made sure we had a good time. Now..... My car vs his car My car:
